Refinement + Performance Improvement: Overhauled our authentication system so that users no longer have to leave the Highnote domain to log in or sign up. This makes things much faster and more reliable.
System Improvement: When a user creates a Collection with Spaces inside, those Spaces now inherit permissions from the parent Collection (with an option to further specify if needed). This also applies when Spaces are moved to different Collections.
Fix: Fixed a bug where anonymous users could not see a list of items inside public Collections, even if the items were publicly viewable themselves.
Fix: Cleaned up some interactions where playing voice comments would cause confusing overlapping states.
New Feature: All valid audio files uploaded to Highnote are now saved in three formats: a lossless FLAC file at the original bit rate and sampling rate, a high quality MP3 file at 320kbps / 44.1kHz, and a lower quality MP3 file at 96kbps / 44.1kHz.
Performance Improvement: Being able to play the lower quality MP3 version on any audio file allows us to load your audio way faster on slow connections.
Fix: Added Log In / Sign Up buttons back to the top navigation when the user is not logged in.
